1. my job allows me to work with parents in a way that is valuable and rare to most before becoming a parent themselves. being a parent is really important to me-- wind is knocked out. that's right. feel like this year my friends and sister? held up a mirror for me that showed me a fact about myself that has always been right in front of me but never named different... i think about parenting a lot !! wondering how this lowkey serious personality trait will show up in dating in an interesting way anytime soon
2. doing drugs (lol) in public alone lets me externalize my anxiety: i don't have to worry about anything in my head that i can't get a hold on-- there are literally moving masses of metal flying at you, so bright, so tempting; nothing lets you dance so. you may skirt flirtily alongside this stretch of road, or crouch (literally) into (literal) shadows. and you can win more at beating them.
